What is the NCPWD Career Portal?
A national career platform built for persons with disabilities in Kenya. It connects jobseekers to relevant skills training, jobs and career content, and connects disability-confident employers to a pool of qualified talent. The portal is coordinated through the Innovation-to-Inclusion (i2i) programme, powered by Fuzu's career-platform technology, and supported by a coalition of government, NGO and private-sector partners. Are there any requirements for signing up as a jobseeker?
Yes. The portal is open to any Kenyan who holds an NCPWD-issued disability card. The card requirement protects the platform's equal-access promise and prevents misuse by people who don't qualify for the programme. How does an employer join the portal?
Email us at ncpwd@fuzu.com with your name, role and organisation. We'll create your account, brief you on how the portal works, and help you post your first opportunity. How is this portal different from other disability job portals?
Traditional disability job boards stop at advertising vacancies. This one goes further: tailored upskilling courses, editorial career content for persons with disabilities, and a coalition of public and private partners standing behind it. It took months of joint work from government, NGOs and private-sector experts to bring the platform up to the standard our users deserve. What is NCPWD?
The National Council for Persons with Disabilities is a Kenyan state corporation established under the Persons with Disabilities Act of 2003 and set up in November 2004. Its vision is a barrier-free society for persons with disabilities; its mission is to promote and protect the equalisation of opportunities and the realisation of human rights for PWDs. The Council's representation is drawn from key government ministries and PWD organisations, and its core values are inclusivity, human dignity, equality and equity, integrity, and results-orientation.What is Fuzu?
Fuzu is East Africa's leading career platform — personalised job recommendations, career guidance and learning for individuals; advanced talent-sourcing tools for organisations. It powers the NCPWD Career Portal's matching and learning engines and gives this programme access to a profile pool of more than a million career-builders.
